Brightmorrow Public Art Showcase

On August 8, 2022, Bright Food invited the global fashion IP collaboration platform, Fashion Exchange, in partnership with UCCA, to plan a public art project in Shanghai. This project was in conjunction with one of the flagship artworks from the UCCA Edge exhibition, Thomas Demand: The Stutter of History, titled Hamani. Collaborating with artist He Wei and his team, known as Chewing Theory, they created an immersive digital media public art piece titled Where Is Spring. This artwork aimed to offer the city a gift of health and deliciousness from nature, infusing warmth into everyday life and recalling the memories of a spring that ended even before we could embrace it.

Chewing Theory titled their work after the well-known Chinese children’s song Where Is Spring. Under the influence of this shared memory, Chewing Theory invited the audience to embark on a journey to reawaken their childlike wonder and experience the poetic narrative of nature. Through the combination of digital art and immersive spatial expression, the artwork wove Shanghai’s rich cultural heritage and the ever-changing elements of nature into a virtual mirror world, narrating a future spring story filled with vitality, sensory richness, and boundless imagination. The artwork not only depicted the vibrancy of nature but also symbolized children’s healthy growth and their embrace of a bright future, supported by Bright Food’s “safe, nutritious, delicious, and intelligent” world of culinary delights.
